The World’s Largest Blind Taste Test

 When Kraft announced they were going to remove all artificial ingredients from their Mac & Cheese, there was a huge backlash. People were worried it wouldn’t be the same. Instead of trying to convince them it hadn’t changed, we launched the new product without saying anything for 3 months. It was the world’s largest blind taste test. And it worked.


I was part of the social team that playfully revealed what we did with a series of posts showing people didn’t notice the recipe changed. We dug around on the internet and found all the dumb stuff people talked about that wasn’t their mac & cheese tasting any different. Then Colbert picked it up and did a little segment on the blind taste test.
