Before going freelance, I was as the real Emily in Paris. But the boring version who married her American boyfriend.
My plot twist was leaving Paris for snow in the Alps and surf in Portugal. My black lab, husband and I lived month-to-month in Airbnbs for a year across Europe. This city girl ended up falling in love with the mountains and living where people usually only vacation. Now I work in the creative wild (freelance) and the actual wild mountains of Colorado, living my best outdoor life and chasing bears out of my trash cans.
